The Chrysler building is located on 405 Lexington avenue in the borough of Manhattan, New York City. It was constructed on September 19th 1928. The architect of this skryscraper went by William Van Alen. It stands at a height of 1047' including the spire at the top. It has a total of 32 elevators. A year after the chrysler building was completed the Empire State Building surpassed it in height. The one thing that amazes me about the Chrysler Building is that when you walk around 42nd street it looks like an ordinary building, but when you look at it from the top of a building you can see the distinctness of the spire. Unless i look at the top i wouldnt know if it was the Chrysler Building or not.
